The textile industry has a longtime partnership with Southern Polytechnic's Apparel and Textile Engineering Technology program. The industry supports continually updated laboratory equipment that has helped secure substantial research contracts from the Defense Logistics Agency for more than 14 years. Recent research developed laser body scanning equipment for more accurate measurements for sizing military uniforms. University students and their future employers also benefit students graduate with state-of-the-art lab knowledge and the expertise needed to step capably into manufacturing management. Inco Service, Inc., Lica Geosystems, SAMSOG, and Topcon International are companies who partner with the University's Civil Engineering Technology and Surveying and Mapping program.
